Special Halo-Halo

halo-haloHalo-Halo is a type of refreshment dessert mainly a mixture of sweetened preserved or cooked fruits, crushed ice, sugar and milk. Halo-halo is a favorite refreshing dessert among Filipinos especially during summer season.

Halo-Halo
Ingredients:
- Sweetened red beans
- Sweetened garbanzos
- Sweetened banana (saba)
- Sweetened kamote
- Sweetened jackfruit
- Sweetened kaong
- Cooked sago
- Pinipig
- Macapuno
- Shaved/Crushed ice
- Ice cream
- Ube haleya
- Leche flan
- Milk
- White sugar


Procedure:
- Half-fill a tall glass with your choice of sweets. Fill with shaved/crushed ice. Top with ice cream, ube jam or leche flan. Serve with milk and sugar.


Brownies with cocoflour

browniesBrownies come in many forms and flavors. They are either fudgy or cakey, depending on their density, and they may include nuts, frosting, cream cheese, chocolate chips, or other ingredients.  Brownies with cocoflour is a healthy variety of brownie because of the added coconut. It is high in fiber and low in carbohydrate making it ideal for any person who need to reduce their carbohydrate intake


Brownies with Cocoflour
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- 1⁄4 cup coconut flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1⁄2 tablespoon baking soda
- 6 pieces eggs
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup cocoa
- 3⁄4 cup all purpose flour
 -1 cup chopped nuts

Procedure:
1. Cream butter, then add sugar gradually.
2. Add eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.
3. In another bowl, mix together all purpose flour, coconut flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa.
4. Add flour mixture to the creamed butter and mix until well blended. Add 1/8 cup of chopped nuts.
5. Pour into greased pan. Smoothen surface with a rubber scraper and top with the remaining nuts.
6. Bake for 350oF for about 15 minutes.

Yield: 36 brownies
